Are you the next Sofia Coppola, Spike Lee, Steven Spielberg, or Sam Raimi? Enter your films in the 6th Annual Teen Filmmaker Festival and find out! This is your chance to screen your films at the best film festival for teens in Southwest Michigan!
Films must be produced by teens, aged 13-18, who reside in the state of Michigan.

Films due on January 26, 2009
A jury will select the films that will be shown at the Teen Filmmaker Festival. Filmmakers will be notified that their film has been selected the week of February 2, 2009. Not all films submitted will be screened at the public event. Selected films are screened at the 6th Annual Teen Filmmaker Festival on February 27, 2009 at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts.

Official Rules
Films must be produced by teens, aged 13-18, who reside in the state of Michigan.
More than one teen may work on a film. Adults may be talent in the film, but should perform no other duty in the actual creation of the film. Films may not be more than 10 minutes long. Teens may submit more than one film. Films must be submitted on either DVD or videocassette. Films will not be returned. A panel of three judges will select the winners in each category except for People’s Choice Award. This will be decided at the Teen Filmmaker Festival on February 27 by the audience members after the final film is screened.

By submitting your film in the 6th Annual Teen Filmmaker Festival you are giving all sponsoring parties permission to use images, titles, names and anything else associated with the film for publicity and/or promotion of the 2009 and future Teen Filmmaker Festivals. By submitting your film in the 6th Annual Teen Filmmaker Festival you understand that a jury will screen the film and that it may not be selected for the event on February 27, 2009 at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts.
Broadcast
The Kalamazoo Community Access Center will cover the festival again this year. They will broadcast entries chosen for the festival, awards presentations, and interviews with winners on Kalamazoo Access Center channels. Check www.cactv.org for dates and times. DVDs of the festival coverage and interviews will be presented to award winners and available to purchase.
