KPL’s Teen Advisory Board (T.A.B.) is made up of teens who
assist and support Teen Services. Members plan and promote exciting
programs, participate in special community service projects, attend
special outings and discuss books, movies, music and web sites! Membership
looks great on resumes and college applications. Refreshments are
served at every meeting.
Mission Statement
- Planning, facilitating, and implementing teen
programs at all Kalamazoo Library locations.
- Creating an inviting atmosphere at the library
by maintaining a safe, fun, and interesting Teen
Area at all KPL locations.
- Assisting with library programs and
volunteering in the community.
- Suggesting materials to be added to the Teen
Services Collection.
- Promoting and encouraging reading by teens.
- Advocating the rights of teens.
