My career at the Kalamazoo Public Library started at the Eastwood Branch Library and for 2 years I learned hands on customer service skills to help me with the position I have today. I made the transfer in 1998 and now work as the VIA mail contact person to our homebound patrons and mailing out their requests. I also send books to the Assisted Living residents on a monthly basis. The other service I provide is preparing the Book Club in a Bag requests for the Reading Groups to pick up.
When not at work I love to be outside and working on my friendship garden. I volunteer with Big Brothers and Big Sisters and enjoy the time I spend with my little sister, she keeps me young.
