I started at Kalamazoo Public Library in January of 1999 (my first day was a snow day) as a children's librarian.
My current position in the Adult Department lets me see all of the shiny new books before they hit the shelves--a perfect task for someone who loves to read and hates grime!
I am responsible for selecting many subjects in adult nonfiction and all large print books, I create the kits for Book Club in a Bag, and I am challenged each shift I work at the Reference Desk.
When I'm not working I am busy with a craft of some sort--you just might run into me if you browse the 700s!
