Jill Lansky

I began working at the library in June of 2000 in the Children’s Room at Central Library.  From Children’s Room, I moved to the Oshtemo Branch/Bookmobile and then to my current position in Teen Services in 2003.

I feel lucky to have my position in Teen Services. I loved being a teen myself, and remember my time at Reese High School quite fondly! Here in Teen, you will usually find me working branch events for tweens and teens, or staffing the public service desk in Teen Services or the Children’s Room at the Central Library.

I grew up in a small farming community just outside of Frankenmuth. After spending two years at Saginaw Valley State University and a temporary job making brakes in a GM factory, I followed my sister to Kalamazoo to earn a degree from Western Michigan University.
