I was born and raised in Schenectady, NY and for obvious reasons had to learn to spell early. My husband Jim and I have lived in Kalamazoo for the past 25 years. Our daughter Diane lives and works in Washington DC. Our son Alan is a college student at Lehigh U. And our daughter Lisa will be a junior in high school this fall.
I have spent most of the past 25 years as a full-time mother and as a church and school volunteer. My passions are reading and books, and education. I have very much enjoyed my weekly story-hour times at KCMS with the Ready-to Read program. This year I dressed as a Knight and read Jane and the Dragon by Martin Baynton for the Party in the Park. I also spend a lot of time tutoring and mentoring and I’m very excited to be part of the positive changes in Kalamazoo Public Schools.
