About Linda Whitlock
Linda is a MSU Extension Educator in Consumer Horticulture in Kalamazoo. She is also the Coordinator for the Master Gardener Volunteer program locally.
Her educational background includes a degree in Landscape Management from MSU’s Institute of Agricultural Technology, a BA from Hope College in Communication, and a Master’s degree from the University of Michigan. Linda is also a certified Michigan Nurseryman.
Recognitions received include the President’s Citation from the Michigan Association of Extension Agents, the Working Differently award from eXtension nationally, and the Star award for community service in Kalamazoo. She is one of the founders of the Gardening in Michigan website hosted by MSU Extension.
Linda is passionate not only about gardening and landscaping; but also about photography, the natural world, continual learning, and her family. Her passion for gardening was instilled by her parents and grandmother.
