    The ACLU’s Southwest Michigan Branch presents Mark S. Hurwitz, associate professor of political science at WMU to discuss the internment of Japanese-American citizens during WWII, the landmark decision of the United States Supreme Court upholding that internment, regarded as one of its darkest hours, and Fred Korematsu’s courage and ultimate vindication, culminating with his award of the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
