from February 14 through March 21, 2006,
culminating with a visit to Kalamazoo by
author Tim O'Brien. Join your family, friends,
coworkers, neighbors, or fellow students in
reading The Things They Carried. |

Use the Reader's Guide.
A team of librarians and community leaders are
developing a free reader's guide to help you
get the most from reading The Things They
Carried. The guide will be available in
early 2006 at participating libraries,
bookstores and community organizations. |

Discuss.
Come to one of the discussion
groups listed in the reader's guide or
organize your own book discussion at your
school, work, home, place of worship or
anywhere. |

Participate.
Come to the readers' theater, film series,
lecture series, and other public events
scheduled all over the county between February
14 and March 21, 2006. |
