Reading Together Events

After a private breakfast with high school students from three county high schools who have discussed the book together, O’Brien will speak to area high schools students from 9 to 11 am at the Kalamazoo Central auditorium.  This event is free and open to any high school student who has read The Things They Carried.

O’Brien will give a craft talk on creative writing from 2pm to 3:30pm at the Epic Center in downtown Kalamazoo.  This event is free and open to students and teachers of creative writing.  Space for this event is limited, and preregistration is required—call 553-7913 for more information.

From 4:30 to 6 pm, O’Brien will sign books at the downtown Kalamazoo Public Library.

At 7 pm, O’Brien will give a reading and public talk entitled “Telling Stories” at WMU’s Miller Auditorium.  Free ticket required for admission; tickets available February 16 at all public and academic libraries in the county.
