Loan Periods and Fines

Loan periods and fines vary by type of material.

You can renew most materials if they have not been reserved by another user. Books may be renewed twice, most audiovisual items may be renewed once. MP3 players, Playaway's, CD-Roms, and video games may not be reserved or renewed.

How to Renew Library Materials

Renew library materials by asking a staff member at the circulation desk or by yourself at a computer with Internet access.

To renew materials yourself

  1. Login to the library catalog.  Enter your User ID (your library card barcode) and PIN (the last four digits of your phone number), then click Login to my Account.
  2. Click My Account.
  3. Select Renew to see your checked-out items.
  4. Click the box next to the items you wish to renew
  5. Click Renew Selected Items. If you have reached the renewal limit for that item, you will see a screen telling you the item failed to be renewed.
