Goal: To offer adult basic education (ABE), English Literacy-Civics (ELC); GED preparation; and Post-Graduate Transition Services to adults that seek employment, better employment, basic skills, and/or seek credential to move to post-secondary, training opportunities, or the military.
Services: Academic instruction for ABE, GED, and ELC in a learning center setting; open enrollment; assists with setting post-secondary educational and/or employment-related goals and transitions; information and referral to help with problems; barrier-free facility; outreach centers with GED and/or ABE at Bronson Hospital, Employment Training Connections, Kalamazoo Probation Enhancement Program, Goodwill Industries. This program also has one of the largest GED testing centers in Southwest Michigan.
Area Served: Kalamazoo and surrounding areas.
Eligibility: Adults who are at least 20 years of age and lacking a high school diploma; individuals needing to improve reading and math skills or learn English.
