Goal: To provide direction for local workforce development strategy; to facilitate the coordination and integration of workforce and economic development resources in Kalamazoo and St. Joseph counties; to assure preparation of a qualified workforce that will meet the needs of businesses and industries in the 21st century.

Services: Administers federal and state funded programs/services to assist employers and job seekers with employment needs, including Workforce Investment Act and Recovery Act (Youth, Adult and Dislocated Worker); Employment Services, JET (Jobs, Education, Training), Michigan Prisoner Re-entry Initiative, Trade Act Assistance, School to Work, and Incumbent Workers. Direct services provided by subcontractors can be accessed at the Michigan Works Service Centers located at 1601 S. Burdick in Kalamazoo and 16587 Enterprise Drive in Three Rivers.
