Goal: To defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed to every person by the constitution and laws of the United States.
Services: The ACLU works in the courts, legislatures and communities to defend and protect the freedoms and rights guaranteed to individuals under the U.S. Constitution, particularly the Bill of Rights (first ten amendments of Constitution). Locally, we provide community education on a variety of Constitutional issues, testimony to elected bodies and respond to individual complaints alleging violation of constitutional rights.
Area Served: Kalamazoo, Allegan, Calhoun, Van Buren, St. Joseph, Berrien, and Cass counties.
