Kalamazoo Stove Company, pouring off, 1936. "This is one of the three giant furnaces in which 'Pigs' (pig iron) have been melted at 2800 degrees. The man in special colored glasses controls the white hot flow into ladles. 245,000 pounds of iron is used in making Kalamazoo Stoves each day. " #1 in a series of 10 (some are missing).
