Adult New Reader Collection

The Adult New Reader Collection is designed to support adults who are interested in improving reading skills, either on their own or with the assistance of a tutor. There are items designed for the most basic skills and advancing through higher reading levels. Some of the collection is composed of various level skill books used for the teaching of reading, but most of the collection is designed to support those efforts. Stories, self-help books, books to inform and basic dictionaries are available for the adult learner.

Although there are some materials designed for those working on English as a second language, most materials are designed for native English speakers, but can be used by many who have only a beginning knowledge of English. Also, basic United States history and government books, for citizenship education, are available in the collection.
