Bookstore News February 10 - 13

The weather forecasters are painting a pretty dismal picture for the next few days - snowing and blowing and cold. Reading is the perfect activity for days and evenings like these. For little more than spare change you can buy a book (or two) at the Friends Bookstore. There's plenty to choose from in both fiction and nonfiction.

In honor of Abraham Lincoln's birthday this week, we have put together a collection of  books about our 16th president. He was one of the truly great men in American history.

In honor of the handyman or woman who has decided to use these cold winter months to get some work done on the house, we have put together a collection of home improvement books. You will find books on drywall, wiring, carpentry and more.

We hope to see you soon.

I agree with you wholeheartedly that reading is a great dreary weather beater. Nothing like cozying up with a good book in comfy clothes! And as a handyman I can attest that self-improvement books are a must.
