“A truley unique and one-of-a-kind country sound!”
Kalamazoo singer/songwriter Shelagh (shay•lah) Brown has walked hand-in-hand with music since her early childhood and has never been without a performing outlet. She is a lover of country music and takes advantage of her vocal training in classical, jazz, and music theatre styles to create a truley unique and one-of-a-kind country sound!
Kalamazoo Gazette Readers’ Choice Awards 2011 Honorable Mention!
Shelagh has had great opportunity to perform consistantly throughout southwest Michigan this spring/summer season (with detours to perform in IN, songwrite in Nashville, and sing the National Anthem at the D-Backs game in AZ). Whether it be a summer festival (big or small), a rockin’ venue with a great stage, or that favorite hole-in-the-wall, you can count on Shelagh to deliver her music with complete body and soul! “...When It Rains...”
Not only was Shelagh a Kalamazoo Gazette 2011 Readers’ Choice Award winner, but she recently won a nationwide contest to sing a duet with country superstar Josh Gracin! “Only When It Rains” (feat. Shelagh Brown) will appear on Gracin’s upcoming album,
Redemption
, which is due out in November! Read the story, watch Shelagh and Josh in the studio, and come see Shelagh at the library in December!
