An Evening of Family-Friendly Performances

Kalamazoo Public Library once again joins churches, performing arts venues, and other cultural institutions surrounding Bronson Park in welcoming the New Year with an evening of family-friendly performances including music, magic, comedy, and exhibitions. Its a Kalamazoo tradition!

Sid "The Rock" Ellis x 2 - Story Telling


Experience a heart-warming performance of family valued entertainment at its best! Sid “The Rock” Ellis and his son, Sid II, engage minds and hearts effectively with their live puppetry and story telling. 

Performances at 6 pm, 7:45 pm, 9:30 pm, 11:15 pm

An ensemble of eclectic instrumentalists who speak from the heart with uncommon synergy. Their music is a blend of traditional and original melodies from across the globe, reaching back to the past, with an eye to the present and the future. Michele Venegas on fiddle, Jim Spalink on bouzouki and hurdy gurdy, Carolyn Koebel on percussion, and guest Cara Lieurance on accordion and flute/whistle.

New Year’s Fest Admission

Advanced sale admission buttons are still just $5.00 and children 3 and under are free. Advanced sale buttons will be available at the Central Library Circulation Desk and the Oshtemo Branch Library Customer Service Desk through December 31 while supplies last. 

Buttons are on sale now!

Admission buttons may be purchased in Bronson Park starting at 3 pm on December 31 – event day sales are $10 after 3 pm. Visit the official New Year’s Fest website for complete details.
