Bats and Books!

I usually try to not think of bats, and certainly not of bats having fun at the public library.  That all changed when I checked out a copy of Bats at the Library.  The story takes you through a night of library fun when a window is left open and the bats come to discover all the library has to offer.  The amazing illustrations draw children and adults in, and offer glimpses of classic children’s literature characters for us to find.  The bats take care of their library resources and teach the young bats what the library has to offer.  From browsing the cookbooks to storytime, this book brings bats and human behavior together.  My son and I couldn’t help but think of what bats might find interesting and fun to do at KPL.  The book has a striking resemblance to me of the Washington Square Branch Library, and although I found the book to be a fun adventure, I will take an extra second to make sure the windows are closed when I leave the next Drop Zone!
