African American Quilts by Bette Boulding
Bette Boulding, a longtime quilter, will discuss her technique and ideas for creating her quilts. Bette calls herself a recycling quilter who takes joy in taking bits and pieces of used fabric and creating her own patterns. She’ll be showing some of her quilts with the audience and explaining how she created them. Bette has made quilts with her classroom students, the Merze Tate Traveling Girls Club, the Kalamazoo Junior Girls, the Tree of Life Students, and the Kalamazoo Community Foundation Change Maker’s Project.
