The library offers an extensive collection of booksmovies, and music, year-round programming for all ages, Ready to Read—an early childhood literacy program, ONEplace—a management support center for nonprofits, a Local History Room featuring a vibrant website and local information database, the County Law Library, and more.


Hearing Loop Technology


Hearing loops have been installed in both the Board Room and the Van Deusen Auditorium at Central Library. Patrons and visitors with T-Coil equipped hearing aids or cochlear implants can now seamlessly receive transmissions broadcast through the loop without the need to use any additional devices. Personal Listening Systems


A personal wireless FM listening system is available upon request to patrons attending KPL programming at any of our locations. The system can be utilized with headphones or coupled to an individual hearing aid via a neckloop telecoil coupler. Adaptive Technology

Kalamazoo Public Library now offers brand new workstations and iPads that feature powerful programs and tools for vision impaired and deaf or hard of hearing persons.
