Each fall, Ready to Read hosts its annual Great Grown-Up
Spelling Bee. Proceeds from this wild and wacky event go
to help purchase books for the Ready to Read program.
Corporate sponsored teams consist of two courageous spellers and six outrageous
cheerleaders who urge them on to victory. Awards are given to
the best spellers, most enthusiastic team, best costumes, and
most creative cheers.
The Great Grown-Up Spelling Bee will be held on Wednesday,
November 14, 2007. Learn how you can sponsor a team by
calling 553-7803, email the
Ready to Read coordinator. Download a sponsor packet.
Can't send a team? You can still join the fun. Buy a
spectator ticket
. For just $25, enjoy hors d'oeuvres and a cash
bar from 6:00-7:00 pm, then see the Bee live from 7:00-9:00 pm.
